After much hype on the naming of Google’s personalized homepage. It seems Google finally got it right. Igoogle.com finally forwards to google.com/ig still not quite there yet Google, but you are closer to the target anyways. For the longest time after finally announcing the name igoogle, igoogle.com did nothing more than forward to the regular google homepage.
For a brand that understands how branding works, they are sure acting like amateurs on this whole Igoogle thing. I’m still trying to understand how they think forwarding the domain instead of actually using it on a separate name server will cause consumers to relate “IGOOGLE” as a separate entity of google.com itself.
